"Reading anything on the Internet has become a full-on nightmare. As media outlets attempt to eke out as much advertising revenue as possible, we’re left trying to put blinders on to mask away all the insanity that surrounds the content we’re trying to read.
...
In response to all this madness, we’d like to introduce Readability:"

More about Readability can be found here ... i like readability a lot but it would be even nicer if there was toolbar button fot this fine feature ... i know nothing about java so I'm just posting this as a suggestion

Custom Buttons² was not found: find out why...

The buttons are actually coded via javascript, not java. I see the readability site offers a computed bookmarklet based on the user's choices. Well, you know that your site could offer up a Custom Button² link as well? The buttons are coded very similarly to the bookmarklets.

By the way I have tried the bookmarklet out and it seems to be a bit random in how it renders.

I am able to successfully make your bookmarklet into a button by simply placing the bookmarklet url in between loadURI(" and ");. So:

loadURI("YOURBOOKMARKLET");

Then place that in the code tab of the button. Currently your bookmarklet only has single quotes so the above code will work, beware that if you ever alter your bookmarklet to contain double quotes then you will need to handle the escaping of those quotes in in order to make a button.

If you have further questions about how to put the link on your site, then please let me know.

Thank you Nicholas for your help. Although Readability acts a bit random I like it and toolbar button makes it easier to use it. The site I posted link to is not mine, i found out about this "gadget" by coincidence. But i'm sure they won't mind if you contact them. Maybe they can but a link to this site on their site so people can make themself a nice readability button. Thank you again and good luck.
