Yep, I decided to participate. It's simple, but sleek and overall just looks cool. I hope you consider it.
Also, I gave the entire thing a colored background in this post to make it more visible.

there.is.only.xul good to see you around again. thanks for the contribution. it is fairly nice. If we went for something like that then we would certainly need some transparency for it to look good on the site.

I did get a response from a friend of mine. But he hasn't finished what he gave me yet. I hope he can make some of the adjustments we were discussing in irc a while back.

OK, didn't think asking to make it 'hidable' was rude. You know me - i 'style' everything.
The reason i'm asking for this is that i usually hide/replace site logos for sites i visit often 'cause i know where i am. They may be useful for a first visit or if i don't visit a site often. Other than that, i find them useless. In my Blues style, the logo we have now didn't fit well and it was difficult to replace.
Of course, you can simply ignore this request

I thought that the black background was simply to make the logo visible in the post since posts have a much lighter bg than the header area. And I also figured that the background for the logo would be transparent.

Yeah, I too have an ouch factor when I see things on black backgrounds, but I quite like the logo itself.

And yeah again, I hide the "newbie orientated bumph" on forums I use a lot too

The first one, it's an unfinished one because I started to think it wasn't good.
But since everyone has diferent opinions, i thought I'd upload it.

I like them both. Really nice. Now, is that a transparent bg (with white splashes) in the first pic? I think the first one is actually better 'cause, first of all, the whole logo is readable there (dbl t isn't on the second one) and it seems more compact. To fix the logo, you may want to add a small black shadow to the letters.

EDIT: OK, checked it, it actually looks better on a dark bg, which is good

This is very excellent! We agreed in IRC. We would like the color of the superscript two to be a little more like the header of our site however.

The smaller version is grainy but I can fix that by rendering it with icofx. Thanks and we will most certainly be using this new and wonderful logo/icon. Thanks everyone who has tried their hands at it, the hard work has been much appreciated.

ploksky, will you please provide a version with a little better blue for the 2. And could you send us the psd as well? I also want to know how you would like to be credited in the extension. Name, maybe a site link if you have one.

Magnificent icons ! it look good on my tab. I certainly couldn't have done it any better.

I'll still try to do a bigger master just in case the need arises, but the PSD I've send you I think is enough for the current header size.
